Canupa @ the Work Day

Hey, Canupa guys!! Mr. J. and I just got back from vacation. We had fun sitting around making regalia! Mr. J. finished two breastplates and I made a bandelier!! You will see them on Thursday night at our first Chapter Meeting for the new school year. I know that you are all excited to go back to school.....not! We had a pretty good turn out at the Work Day/Yanush Chapter Ordeal. We had some members who helped tear out the inside of the staff lounge. Other Canupa members were part of the Bistro Staff. We were excited to use the new kitchen and dining hall at Cherokee, but were surprised to find very few outlets on the walls. Then we found then on the floor under the work tables. All in all, it was a great weekend of cheerful service. Enjoy the pictures!! See you on Thursday night!!

Chapter Meeting Coming Up on August 14th!!

Calling all Canupa members!!! We have a chapter meeting coming up soon!! Your Chapter Chief, Kyle and your Lodge Vice Chief-Native American, Sean, really want you to be there. See how happy they look, just thinking about it!! We will be meeting at First UMC, Canton, on August 14 at 7:30. Please be there. Fall Camporee will be here before we know it and.....we are in charge! See you soon!

Work Weekend Ahead...

Your Canupa Chapter Adviser and I are hoping to see a bunch of you this weekend at Camp Cherokee. As you should know, Yanush is having a work weekend/chapter ordeal this coming weekend. They will be working on the renovation of the staff lounge. When they asked David if we would help them with purchasing the food for the event, we volunteered to come out and be the Bistro Staff for them. And, as you know, if you read the email, we volunteered Canupa to help us!! So, if you are able to come out this weekend, come on down to the new dining hall!!! We can't wait to cook something in it. We have taken the grand tour, but there is nothing like baking cookies in the new convection ovens!! I will be making cookies on Friday afternoon, so if you come out, come on down and you can have some!!! Hope to see you out there.
