Long time....no blog.....

I am so far behind in posting that it is ridiculous. Canupa had chapter elections tonight and we have a new Vice Chief of Technology---Michael Mynxx! So, he will be helping with the blogging and maybe we can keep up. And here he is with Danny King. Michael is the one in the black shirt!! Thanks, Michael, for taking on this weighty responsibility and irksome task!!

Campfire

But the best part of the weekend was the campfire!!!!

Oak Leaf Weekend

Cherokee District held the annual Oak Leaf Training at Camp Cherokee during the weekend of January 31-February 1. The training was a HUGE success. We had 31 youth participants from three districts: Cherokee, Grey Owl, and Tomahawk. Staff participation included 25 youth staff and 13 adult staff from Cherokee and Grey Owl districts. The weather was perfect, even though a little chilly at night, and the fellowship was outstanding. We had an awesome camp fire on Saturday night, followed by ice cream at the cracker barrel!
